Electronic Filing

Training

The Rhode Island Judiciary (Judiciary) is offering training to any individuals who will be using the electronic filing system, File and Serve.  Staff of Tyler Technologies will be conducting live webinars through the Internet.  The live webinars allow you to attend training sessions from any location with computer access to the Internet. Training sessions are one (1) hour.  Please click on the button to the right for the training agenda.  Participants will be able to ask questions of the Tyler trainer during the training session.

If you are an attorney, the training session will qualify for one (1) Rhode Island mandatory continuing legal education (MCLE) credit.  As the various courts implement electronic filing, training will be provided.  The training sessions are the same but will use the specific drop down menus for the particular court implementation, i.e., workers’ compensation, civil, criminal, traffic, appellate.  Attorneys may opt to participate in more than one training session but may not claim more than one (1) MCLE credit per MCLE reporting year.

You may also view self-study taped training sessions online (on-demand) as an ongoing resource.  To view the taped sessions, please click on the court listed on the right under "Taped Training Sessions by Court."  MCLE credit will not be awarded for the self-study taped training sessions online.

Training Session Times

Training sessions are scheduled through the “Odyssey File and Serve Online Training” page on Tyler Technologies’ website.  You must click on the Rhode Island session you wish to attend. Training sessions will be added automatically for Rhode Island as they are needed and as each court implements electronic filing.

ATTORNEYS:  Upon completion of the training session, please click here to fill out and print your Uniform Certificate of Completion.
